Visit the Farmers Branch Keenan Cemetery for the Living History Cemetery Tours – Encounters from the Past to meet many of the deceased citizens of North Texas who have helped to shape Farmers Branch into the community it is today. The 2017 theme of the tours is “Stories of Service,” focused on those citizens who served the Farmers Branch, Carrollton, and North Texas communities in substantial ways. This lamp-lit tour will feature many entirely new or updated stories this year. You and your family will have a chance to meet a World War I aeroplane pilot, a World War II nurse (and the only woman from our area to serve in the armed forces during that conflict), not to mention school teachers, firemen, mothers, preachers, and more as costumed actors take on the roles of these prominent citizens during an evening of storytelling, history, and family fun. Crafts and information will also be available.
