Take a tip from Ralph himself and, “Start churning butter and put on your church shoes, little sister, because we’re about to blast off!” June 1 is Family Date Night In The Park and the movie under the stars is “Ralph Breaks The Internet.” This is free for all ages and the gates to the Farmers Branch Historical Park open at 5:30 p.m. Bring blankets and chairs or rent them for $2 each courtesy of the Friends of the Historical Park.
The kids are going to burn off some energy in the Kidzone that is open until 9:30 p.m. They’ll enjoy a Climbing Wall, Video Game Truck (ages 6 and up), Inflatables, a Balloon Artist, Caricature Artist, and Glitter Tattoos.
And, for one night only, the Farmers Branch Market is moving their weekly event from The Grove at Mustang Station to the Park. Although the produce suppliers are absent from this market, here is a vendor list that offer handmade and homemade goodies:
The Nut House
Sassy Crafty Ladies
Rusticas Home Bakery
Olives ‘n Oil
The Salsa Texan
The Jar Bar DFW
Jenny Joy’s Soaps
Black Cat Print Co.
VIP Cabanas offer a personal tent, VIP parking pass inside the Farmers Branch Historical Park, two Adirondack chairs, bottled water, snacks, four drink tickets and $30 in Branch Bucks! These are $125 and due to the popularity of the package, they are sold out.
Six years after the events of “Wreck-It Ralph,” Ralph and Vanellope, now friends, discover a wi-fi router in their arcade, leading them into a new adventure, “Ralph Breaks The Internet.”
Join Ralph and Vanellope in their newest buddy-comedy adventure, and explore the worldwide web in a whole new way… with humor, heart and some unexpected guests that only Disney can bring along! Vanellope von Schweetz and Wreck-It Ralph leave the arcade world behind to explore the uncharted and thrilling world of the internet.
On a quest to save Vanellope’s racing game, how will these two misfits ever succeed in this vast new world? Featuring the voices of Sarah Silverman as Vanellope and John C. Reilly as Ralph.
Mustang Station Apartments presents the live entertainment featuring The Ones on stage at 6:00 p.m. The band will play until the sun goes down and then the movie premieres on the big screen. You’ll have plenty of time to stroll the park with your friends and family.
Friendly dogs are welcome at this dog friendly event but please keep all pets on a leash. Want to add a furry friend to your family? Rescue a homeless hound through on-site adoption. Need to maintain safety for your animal? Microchipping is available and provides online registration to connect their ID to your contact information.
Food and non-alcoholic drinks may be brought into the park. However, prepare to smell the delicious sizzle of freshly cooked meat and more. Bartley’s BBQ, Donovan Concessions, Nuevo Leon Mex-Mex Restaurant, Texas Corn, J Bob’s Kettle Corn, Tikiz, and Cross my Heart & Hope for Pie will be ready to serve your favorite menu items. Beer, wine and cool beverages are also available for purchase.
Parking is free at the Metro Square Business Park located at the corner of Ford Road and Villa Creek. Go green and ride DART to the Station then walk to the Park. Cruise the Trails of Farmers Branch and park your bicycle inside the gates. A Map of the parking and location also includes driving directions.
