Pastry Chef Libby Addleman keeps an eye on catering at the Sheraton Dallas Hotel by the Galleria. Although Chef Addleman has been with Sheraton for two years, in the Fall of 2018 she stepped into the position of Lead Catering Manager.

This Dallas native is a graduate from the University of Alabama in restaurant and hotel management who took the leap to travel overseas. Upon arrival in the South of France, Chef Addleman began studying French Pastry at Gastronomicom Culinary School. This International Culinary Academy provides chefs the opportunity to learn gastronomic French cooking and pastry to a 1 Michelin Star Level in fantastic conditions.

Chef Addleman attained treasured wisdom while working with French pastry chefs and then packed up her experience to return to Texas. Chocolate Secrets quickly hired her as their Head Pastry Chef and she mastered the popular pastel colored macarons.  In this role Chef Addleman also planned and coordinated events for five years while with the Oak Lawn chocolatier.

Leading the way in the hospitality and service industry, she now serves as the Catering Manager for the Sheraton Galleria. Chef Addleman has a driven passion to execute a higher level of service and quality for guests and clients.

Red Eye Restaurant and Bar

Right in the center between the north Dallas freeway and LBJ freeway sits the Sheraton Dallas Hotel by the Galleria. A $17 million rejuvenation can be seen throughout the property with updated rooms, meeting and event space as well as the new Red Eye Restaurant and Bar.  The beautiful facilities include  over 11,000 square feet and 16 rooms of meeting and event space. Chef Addleman uses her skill and creativity to customize and personalize each special event.

Red Eye Restaurant and Bar is a lively dining experience with a fully enclosed veranda.  This favorite foodie spot is a twist of American cuisine and Texas Bar-b-que. Crowd pleasers include the Mac Daddy; fried mac and cheese bites, Gobble Gobble burger, the juiciest turkey burger you’ve ever had and the Nuts to You, a freshly baked pecan pie; a southern favorite.

Red Eye will showcase a new menu this fall featuring the ever so popular Impossible Burger, a plant-based burger option. For catering options also look for customized vegan, gluten-free and vegetarian options, with updated catering selections coming this fall.

This fall also look out for the Sheraton Galleria State Fair breaks. Starting the end of September through October catering will set up fun inspired snack breaks in the hotel lobby for hotel guest and clients. Indulge your taste buds with weekly different fair items like cotton candy, nuts, lemonade, fair candy and a Texas favorite Dr. Pepper!

“Bring some State Fair of Texas spirit to your next meeting or event with our Fair themed breaks!” – Sheraton Dallas Hotel by the Galleria
