The Firehouse Theatre in Farmers Branch, Texas will hold the Curtain Call 2019 Season Reveal Gala on October 12, 2018 at Brookhaven Country Club. Gala Chairs Tamara Cleghorn and Lisa Campbell alongside Honorary Chairs Kelly and Dan Heard have been producing what may be the most dramatic and exciting event for the theatre this year. The Gala Emcees will be Firehouse star Billy Betsill and Allison Harris from Fox 4 News and the guest attire is cocktail or Vintage Circus costume. This star-studded night includes dinner, drinks, dancing to a live band and additional entertainment.

Special guest and Broadway star Tony LePage will be there to make a huge announcement about a 2019 project with The Firehouse Theatre and another Broadway star, Josh Sassanella. LePage has been seen in Broadway productions “Rock of Ages” and “Come From Away.” The link between The Firehouse Theatre and LePage sounds like a round of Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon – so it’s anyone’s guess as to what exactly the theatre has up its sleeve or behind the curtain. David Moore, executive director of The Firehouse Theatre, is keeping tight lipped on what exactly the project will be but offers an enticing clue.
“We’ve never done a new work before,” hints Moore. “We’ve been focused on musicals and plays. This is a way to introduce a new work differently from other community theaters.”
In addition to the LePage surprise reveal, the 2019 season will be announced. Gala guests will be the first to know the slate of upcoming shows and be able to buy season tickets at the lowest price, offered for one night only to gala attendees.
“One of the shows we will be doing won a Tony award last year,” says Moore. “We always have classic theater. There will be one play and seven musicals and mixed in those musicals will be a classic or two. There’s one that has recently come back that we will do.”
Auction Chair Julie Bonneau has acquired a few big-ticket items for bidding, including a trip to Tuscany and tickets to see Elton John at Madison Square Garden.
