Travel blogger Sioux-Z aka, Trippin Over Texas, has discovered free fun in Farmers Branch and highlighted her favorite spots in a featured article on her site.

“One of the many things I love about Farmers Branch is that there are always FREE events to go to and lots of public places to visit that make life more enjoyable. There are several parks and walking trails that are a true joy to experience.”

This Texas gal has visited more than 300 towns in the Lone Star State and continues to explore the highways and back roads to discover unique destinations for the public to experience.

The Instagram photos were taken by @OldSchoolSioux and give a colorful glance at the hidden gems within the City of Farmers Branch. They include Gussie Field Watterworth Park, Farmers Branch Walk of Honor, the Rose Gardens of Farmers Branch, John F. Burke Nature Preserve, and the Farmers Branch Market.

“During the Fall season you can expect to find a farmers market complete with family friendly activities, food trucks and live music on Saturdays from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Be sure to check their events calendar for schedule updates cause we all know the weather in Texas changes faster than a street light.”

“Across the street from “The Grove” is Liberty Plaza where you can experience the “Walk of Honor.” Since my father is a Vietnam Veteran I always love to visit this small park and read the bricks, memorial plaques and just sit and reflect. The statues at this park are awe-inspiring!”
